PROFILE:
After graduating together from MPHS, Pat and I were married (big surprise) and, while he pursued a University degree, I was on a full-time mommy track. We had a boy, Patrick, and two girls, Lauren and Dianne. As you can expect, I became involved in all aspects of their school projects and after school as well. I ended up being Cub Scout, brownie and Girl Scout leader.
Pat and I were also able to do a little traveling, he on business, and me for pleasure. We went to LA, San Francisco, Colorado etc. in the states and Hawaii, Spain and Italy. By this time the kids were in high school and, though he traveled much more for business, I stayed home with teenagers. At this time I began learning to make flower arrangements and enjoy it to this day.
Sadly, our son was widowed at 37, so I helped him whenever he needed me to. He retired from the USAF a Lt. Colonel and has recently married again, adding two new grandkids into the family. Our grandkids are Patrick, 25, graduated from John’s Hopkins and Georgetown, preparing his applications to Medical schools. Jillian, 23 is currently in her last year of nursing school and loving it. Nick, 20, is completing his schooling in Computer Science and has already built his first computer in his spare time. Our daughter Lauren has been a teacher for 17 years, married for 15 years and has a stepdaughter, Courtney. Her two children are Riane, 12, just entering 7th grade (and loves Justin Bieber); and Matthew, 10, who is a master of any sport that has a ball. Our daughter Dianne has been a teacher for 14 years and we are currently in the midst of planning Dianne’s wedding this winter, engagement party, shower etc.
For twelve years I’ve sung with a women’s barbershop group and have had a ball. The last few years I’ve had a series of health problems and recently had a heart procedure. Hopefully, this will be successful and I will feel better and can become more active. Hope to see you all soon. Can you believe “50 YEARS” ?
