19. CORN, Stu -- now deceased -- Stu passed away in August 2010, at age 67

Our classmate, Stuart Allen Corn, was born in Paterson and lived part of his childhood abroad before settling in Midland Park in the late '50s. He moved to Pompton Lakes in 1970 where he then set down life-long roots. He died peacefully on Tuesday August 10, 2010, at age 67, after a long bout with kidney cancer.
He was born in Paterson NJ on April 14, 1943; his parents were Herbert Morris Corn and Wanda Francis Dudek.
After graduating from Midland Park high school in 1961 (his high school activities are listed above, next to photo), Stu attended North Carolina State University for two years where he excelled in track and field. He then transferred to Rutgers University in NJ, where he obtained his college degree.
According to family and friends, he and his wife, Alice, were uncommonly happily. Married in 1964 in New York City, they were parents to three children. Stu was a devoted father and grandfather. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed archery and scuba diving. He was a certified life guard who also taught yoga.
Stuart was the owner/proprietor of Poly Molding Corporation in Haskell, NJ., a leading manufacturer of expanded polystyrene (EPS). This multi-million dollar company is now owned and operated by Stuart's son, Adam.
At the time of his death in 2010, he was 67 years old, and survived by his wife of 46 years, Alice (nee Blumenfeld); two sons: Craig and his wife Laura of Essex Fells; and Adam and his wife Beth of Kinnelon; one daughter Seane (Ceci) and her partner Al of Los Angeles, CA; his mother Wanda of Wayne; two brothers: Leonard ("Lenny") of Wayne and Mike and his wife Duffy of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren: Amanda, Matt, Emily, Alison, Erika, and Vanessa.
His family remembers him as being a man's man and larger than life; he will be dearly missed.
20. COVENY, George -- deceased
George died Dec 2005; he had moved to Chattanooga in 1997 from Point Pleasant, NJ. He was a lifelong owner and operator of V&M Trucking Company. He is survived by his wife, Judy, son Michael, and daughters Valerie and Laura.
