37. GERS, Jeannine
38. GIBSON, Charlotte: born July, 1943; passed away April 26, 2015.
In early 2001, Charlotte wrote the following about herself:
"Hello, Here I am! Hard to believe that the time has flown by and 40 years has past since we left Midland Park High.
I have been living in Miami, Florida, since 1966. It still is nice a warm here! I finished my graduate work here in Miami after I graduated from nursing school at Newark City Hospital School of Nursing. I understand that that is now the New Jersey School of Medicine and Dentistry.
I have been at Baptist Hospital of Miami for 32 years and currently I am the Nurse Manager for a 51 bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit. That keeps me out of trouble. Working in health care has presented lots of challanges, but, I still love working in it.
Marriage was not in life's plan for me, so I enjoy the life of being single. It allows me lots of freedom and independence.
I enjoyed reading the information and database about the Class of '61. It brings back a lot of memories. Of course, I pulled out the old year book and looked at pictures..............
Best wishes to all !
Charlotte Joan Gibson passed away on April 26, 2015, while living in Miami Beach, Florida. According to her nephew, Charlotte had been suffering from kidney failure, as well as from cancer; apparently it was the latter that caused her death. Friends who knew her well said that she had always been a hard-working, kind, gentle and caring nurse, with a great sense of humor. She had been active in her church, Concordia Lutheran, in Miami, FL, where donations to the church's organ restoration fund are requested as memorials.
Rest in Peace, Charlotte.
